To newsletter or not to newsletter?

- To newsletter or not to newsletter? That is the question. Newsletters fall in and out of favor periodically. So, how do you know if a newsletter is right for you or your business? Warning, I have some pretty firm opinions about this. So like with all advice, put it through the filters of your own experience, knowledge, and inner wisdom before you make any decisions. Okay, for about 80% of people and organizations, I think newsletters are a big waste of time. I will tell you why I think that, and then I'll tell you what to do if you're in the 20% for whom a newsletter actually makes sense. Okay, back to the waste of time thing. Even if you have a great template, which you ought, it's very time consuming to create a good looking newsletter: layout, images, flow, links, ugh.
