- Timing is literally everything. And the funny thing about timing is you don't know if you have the right timing or not, (chuckles) so you have to kind of wait sometimes to see what is actually happening. There's two things for me that's specific about timing, is one, it's not always on your time. So sometimes you think you should get a promotion at this time. You think you should be on a particular project. You think you should've been selected to go on that trip. You think a host of things. But oftentimes, you need a little background information. You need a little context. So maybe you didn't get that job because another one is waiting for you. Maybe you didn't get that promotion because you might not be ready for it and they want to make sure when you put you in this position that you can tackle it. You just don't know.
