- Since the to-do list first saw the light of day, our world has radically evolved, yet the to-do list really hasn't, but it needs to. We live in a world that moves faster than ever, and that means we need a to-do list that can help us do more than just keep up with the pace. We need one that can help us thrive despite the fast pace. Here are three ways you can build that better to-do list starting today. Number one, keep more than one to-do list. This might seem counterproductive, but bear with me. I have a daily to-do list that I pull from a much larger to-do list. I also have a list that I keep separate from all others that features long-term goals. Having separate lists allows you to approach them with a different mindset and filters them in a way that makes each list more approachable and achievable.
