They're evidence of your organization's climate and clues to how creativity friendly it is. Every organization has a climate, an atmosphere, that surrounds and influences how it works. There are three key aspects of climate that can impact creativity. First, power structures strongly influence the level of creativity in your organization. By power structures, I mean the combination of organizational structure, formal leadership and decision making. Organizational structure is typically comprised of departments and chains of command. Do people in your organization operate in silos like operations, finance, and product areas? How often do they collaborate with people from other departments?
