Is change really the problem?

- Most of us think we're not good with change. But when you look at how we take photos, watch TV and book taxis these days, it's easy to realize how quickly we can adapt to new ways of doing things. You see, when we choose the changes we want to bring about and how we go about bringing them into our lives, we feel like the masters of our own destiny. So we embrace change on our terms. But in modern life, and in particular within modern organizations, it often feels that the world around us is changing rapidly at the hands of unseen or even unforeseen forces. It's as if nothing is on our terms. But by focusing your attention on what's important to you and taking action on the things that are still in your control, you'll build your confidence and resilience amidst that changing backdrop. And that's exactly what this course is all about. I'm Erin Shrimpton, business psychologist, coach and expert in organizational behavior. And I work with people and organizations to help them change workplace experience for the better. So join me on LinkedIn Learning to get better prepared for dealing with change.
