- The inspirational leader believes that they can do it. Ideally, you would believe in your team. And if you don't believe in your team, by the way, then you need to probably change your team. So you need to have a group of people who you believe are capable of all sorts of fantastic things. And you need to tell them that you believe that they can do it. So for each person you've got, ideally, you'd be thinking, "You know, what is their potential? What's Fred's potential?" And remember, even he probably doesn't know what his potential is. So how do we find out what Fred's potential is? And the answer is, try giving him more and more and see what happens. And give him support, give him training and coaching, but give him more and more and see how much he can grow. And you can say to him, "Look, I want to give you more 'cause I think you can do it." Don't say, "I'm going to see if you can do it," say, "I think you can do…
