- If you have a meeting and what I really suggest is that you not send the deck ahead of time. I always say don't let your deck go dancing without you. Sometimes, it's unavoidable. Sometimes, you can't get a meeting without sending the deck first, but if someone does ask for the deck, go ahead and send it, but I would just get the meeting first without that, and then when you sit down, have your deck ready or email it to the person afterwards and say you don't have to worry about taking notes. Everything that I'm going to say is in the deck that I'll send you after. You don't want to have a person sitting there looking through a deck and looking down because you can't communicate with them. You can't see their eyes. You can't read if they're disappointed in something that you've said or interested and want to pursue something further, and what you're really looking to do, remember, this is not, you're not just throwing information at someone.
