Yearly planning to support goals

- Whether you're trying to accomplish a career or a personal goal, yearly planning has great value in shaping your schedule for success. The process begins with having one goal, a result, in mind. Ask yourself, what is the one result I want this year that I'm not getting right now? Use that goal for your yearly planning, and divide it into parts to create a schedule for progress. To simplify this example, let's imagine I wanted to save $1,000 by the end of the year and I'm starting on January 1st. Insert the result you want and follow the same steps. We're going to divide and schedule, over and over, until we're left with just one simple, manageable action step. First, I'm going to schedule time on December 31st, the end of the year, for reviewing my bank account and seeing the money there. Second, I schedule time at the midway point.
