- Why is your target market so important to you? Well first of all, it's the foundation of your entire go to market strategy. Essentially it's a combination of your product strategy, your pricing strategy, your positioning strategy, your messaging strategy, marketing strategy, your selling strategy, your branding strategy all rolled into one. That's called a go to market strategy and target market links to each and every one of those. The other reason why I think it's important for entrepreneurs is it focuses you.
