Why we need transition management
- Your project has finally finished, the deliverables are ready to be handed over, and the team are looking forward to moving on to other projects or back to their regular roles. But these products need to transition into operational use. How does that happen? Is it the project's responsibility or someone else's? Well, it could be the project's responsibility if it's planned that way, or it could be the responsibility of the business as part of a wider program. Either way, transition management is not something that automatically happens. It requires a focused effort. Transition management is facilitating change from one state to another, and to make sure it happens smoothly, it must be planned. My name is Claudine Peet. Join me on LinkedIn Learning as we learn how to ensure transition happens, how it's supported, and how it's embedded to deliver results.
