Why is time management important?

- In my opinion, there are two crucial parts to any sales job. The first one is you must deliver on your promises. So when you say I'll email you this, I'll call you then, I'll share that document with you, you need to do those things. If you can't deliver on a simple promise like those, then how can you be expected to deliver on the product or service you're promising to your client? This is your personal brand and the company you represent, so you need to take care of it. And the second thing is it's a numbers game. The more people you contact, the more opportunities you'll have. And then by simple logic, your chances of selling will go up. So once your calendar is full of enough time to research who to call, calling those people, doing the followups, writing proposals, attending networking events, getting those internal updates to ensure the projects are on track, building relationships with existing customers, building relationships with suppliers and introducers, then before you know it, you don't have enough time to even make yourself a cup of coffee. So when you start falling behind, what do you drop? If you drop the research, the quality of your leads will go down, and you'll start wasting more time on calling people that aren't the right fit for you. If you stop the cold calling, you won't be finding your opportunities, and you'll have nobody to sell to. If you stop the follow-ups, then you'll be losing that hard work that you've spent on cold calling. If you stop writing proposals, then you'll never be closing. And if you stop going to networking events, then you won't meet the introducers or the people to sell to, and you get the idea. So the key is to firstly focus on the important. That applies to both who you're targeting and the tasks that you're completing. Then you streamline wherever possible. So make sure you're not wasting a second on tasks that could be quicker or dropped entirely. So in this course, I'll be telling you how to do exactly that. So let's jump in.
