- If you've ever reached out to a recruiter or been contacted by one who seemed really excited about you at the front end and then suddenly went radio silent, you know how nerve racking this can be. But here's the thing, being ghosted by a recruiter often has nothing to do with you. Here are a few things that it could be. Number one, they may be having a hard time getting feedback from their client or the hiring manager. Number two, they might be really excited about you but they don't yet know if everybody else is. Number three, it's possible that they have some hot and timely other project that they're working on and they need to give it their full focus, before looping back to you. It could also mean that they have an internal candidate that has popped up, or maybe the scope of the job has changed, or maybe that recruiter you've been working with up and left the company.
