When your recruiter isn't a good fit
- Sometimes you'll engage a recruiter. And this is particularly the case with agency recruiters. And realize fairly early on, this isn't a very good fit. Perhaps your recruiter is a little bit too in your face, or he's constantly rescheduling you. Or maybe you're getting the feel like, this guy doesn't really know my industry or his clients very well. Whatever the case may be, if you're feeling like it's just not happening between the two of you, you don't have to feel like you're stuck with that person. And in fact, that could really hinder your progress if you do. Instead, I recommend that you respond. And I would follow along with these steps. Number one, just be honest with them and upfront, but not combative. Maybe you let them know how you're feeling.
