When to use apostrophes for plurals

- People often mistakenly use an apostrophe to make things plural. You don't use it for years, you don't use it for abbreviations and you don't use it for vegetables. That last error by the way is so common in the produce section of grocery stores for some reason that the mistake is sometimes called, the greengrocer's apostrophe. The one place and only place where you use apostrophes to make things plural is with single letters because people might think you're writing the word is and as when you're writing about I's and A's. You need an apostrophe in there. For example, the word indivisible has four I's. And Jose got four A's last semester. And you don't just do it with the letters that could be confusing. You do it with all single letters including those in one of my favorite phrases, mind your P's and Q's. And you can capitalize the letters P and Q or leave them lowercase.
