- Let me share just a couple quick ideas to wrap up our discussion before you get started actively thinking about your review. First take the advice my parents gave me when I was young and in school. Don't wait until the last minute and then cram for the test. It's great advice. Start early with your review with a plan similar to the one highlighted in this course. Yes, doing this is an investment of time, and I know you're busy. But the better you plan, the smoother and more successful the process. Now what's that worth? Next, remember that perspective and attitude are choices. You can choose to view this bit of work as a time-consuming bureaucratic nightmare, or (laughs) you can choose to see it as an opportunity to clarify and understand your performance. A time to make the case for the value that you add to the team. And finally a time to define how you feel you should be developing and moving forward. I think the choice is clear.
