What you should know

- All right, there aren't any prerequisites to jump into this course but there are a couple things I want you to know. The first thing is that there are a lot of stories and examples in the course. We're going to go quickly. To keep that fast pace, I won't be diving into a ton of detail about each particular case study. I will, however, tell you some key specifics including how the person got their idea, how they made it happen, and what the outcome was. In other words, how much money is it bringing in along with any other benefits. In some cases, we'll look at their challenges and missteps as well. As you watch or listen, pay attention to what resonates and sounds interesting to you. Not every example will be captivating to you personally. I'm guessing you probably don't want to edit romance novels repair vintage radios and post reviews of running shoes, all at the same time. But hey, that's okay because you can usually learn something from each story. Then, use the ones that seem particularly interesting to you as inspiration for your own ideas. The most important thing you can learn is not oh, this is a cool idea, I'm glad somebody else is making money with it but it's the thought process of generating ideas like the ones you'll hear about and then the path of making those ideas come to life. Cultivating your power of observation can take you far in side hustling and life. After you watch this course, I hope you'll start noticing more opportunities as you go about your day. Now, two more things. I've divided the stories into specific categories like selling a product versus providing a service. No category of money-making projects is inherently better or worse than any of the others but there are some key differences. So at the end of each chapter, I'll give you an analysis, the pros and cons of that particular category. Just like you'll probably relate to some stories more than others, you might find that one or more categories is particularly interesting to you. Also, I'll mention a number of resources as we go through all 32 stories. You can download a pdf that includes links to everything I mention. And if you're interested in learning more about any particular business, a second pdf has links to all of their websites. Okay, that's it. Let's start by looking at some examples of people who made a physical product. From there, we'll go into services, re-selling, becoming a subject matter expert and much more.
