- When embarking on a transformation it's important for stakeholders to know what they're aiming for. What are you trying to accomplish? So far we defined the problem you want to solve. Your problem word is the trigger, or the business case, for the transformation. Now think about your solution. Your solution word is the what. What does your organization need to do to resolve the issue? To come to this word follow the same process as before. Brainstorm a list of words and note the examples that follow as supporting evidence for that word. Let's take our example of the school district. The problem is that the schools operate in silos that results in inefficiency and frustration from those looking for support. What would help resolve the issue of silos?
