What is a persona?
- One of the core principles of Agile development is that you need to deliver value to your customers. But what do your customers really want? On the one hand, every single customer is a unique individual with different needs and requirements. But on the other hand, they also have a lot in common. A Persona is a fictional customer that represents the characteristics of a group of your customers. The Persona describes the demographics of those customers in a way that's meaningful for developing your product. It could include their goals, their motivations, and their limitations. You can build Personas based on customer discovery, and on market research data. Or you can use Personas as a way of documenting the assumptions that you're making about your customers. A Persona is like a market segment, but the difference is that you're trying to put a human face on your customer, rather than just analyzing data about a group.…
