What makes a keynote different

- There are many types of speeches. Probably the most special is a keynote. Compared to a typical speech that you might deliver at work or a conference, a keynote is different. It tends to be longer, a little entertaining, not just informative or educational. The audience is bigger and the speech has been promoted as one of the cornerstones of the event. If you're asked to give a keynote, it's a big deal. Congratulations, you're about to become the star attraction of the event. Now, you might've been asked to give a keynote because you're a notable executive, or high-ranking official, or maybe a unique and highly visible expert; who knows? But, in any case, the question is the same: are you ready? Do you know how to stand on stage, look at the audience, and really deliver? My name's Dr. Todd Dewet. I've been speaking professionally for many years and I have to tell you, when you know how to create and deliver a great speech, that's a powerful thing. If you know how to do it right, it's an amazing tool that allows you to build your reputation and share a great message. However, it's not just about being a great expert who knows how to ad-lib in front of others. It also takes clear knowledge, practice, and intentional, emotional content, which, if crafted right, will engage your audience and create true connection. So if you're ready, let's get started.
