- One of the questions I probably hear most often is this what do I do if it's been too long? And I get it. You go to a meeting or a conference, somebody gives you their card and you put it on your desk. And you don't want to appear too eager so you wait. And then you get busy and then you get nervous that they're not going to remember you. And then more time goes by. And then you really don't know what to say. And maybe you throw the card away or you just let it sit there, taunting you. And maybe it doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but relationships are everything.
