What is happiness?
- In the following chapters, I want to help you to understand what evolution has allowed to happen that sabotages our happiness, where you're going to discover that happiness is actually a pursuit. Our natural state that evolution wants is that stress and survival mode. We're also going to discover a very revealing component of brain science research. and that is what we call the social brain. Your brain, my brain, everyone's brain fundamentally evolved as a social organ for community, for connection, and for a sense of greater belonging to something larger than yourself. This will also be framed within what we call the four pillars of investing in happiness that you're going to discover and implement. These four pillars are comforts, contribution, connection, and compassion. And in the next chapters, you're going to be revealed to the strategies and the tools to help you invest in your happiness.
