What are OKRs and how are they used?

- Your North Star metric serves as your ultimate goal, but at larger organizations, you'll likely have many teams that will be working towards this goal in a different manner, and a highly popular approach at companies like Google, LinkedIn, and Twitter is to use OKRs to align teams and make it easy to identify how each team is progressing towards their goal, and this acronym stands for objectives and key results. The objective is qualitative and the key results are quantitative. Now, you usually select three key results. The objective will be the goal for the quarter and your key result will indicate whether that objective was met. For example, my objective could be develop an impactful growth marketing course. Key result one is create at least 25 unique lessons, key result two is receive a net promoter score of 80 with at least 25 pieces of feedback, and key result three could be generate 5,000 views.
