- [Instructor] When we care about people, when we know them, and this is one of the things that this company HG in the shift did so well, is they trained their leaders not in some process that made employees feel valued. Not in some procedure that would make people think that they mattered, but they would literally tell that when a manager went into a new building, he or she was instructed for the first 30 days, or thereabouts, they weren't allowed to do anything except get to know the staff and the people.
