Welcome
Business travel can introduce you to new colleagues, concepts, and markets, but if you approach it unprepared it can also be an expensive and tiring experience. I'm Tom Geller. Over 20 years of frequent business travel has given me a broad perspective on how to work effectively in unfamiliar surroundings. I'll share my knowledge and strategies with you in this course. We'll start with preparations before your trip that will save you time, money, and hassle. Then we'll talk about issues during the trip, such as finding good internet connections and transportation options. Finally, you'll see how to follow up and prepare for the next trip, steps that travelers too often neglect. This course assumes that you'll continue to travel for business throughout your career and aims to help you make each trip easier, more productive, and better than the last. I've come to consider business travel a benefit and a joy and I hope this course gives you the tools you need to enjoy it as much as I do. Let's get started.
