Using a single language with your global team

- Multiple languages is the de facto reality of every global company. People in different parts of the world grew up learning and speaking their native tongues. So, when a global company hires people in different countries, it naturally becomes multi-lingual. But many companies, for example, AirBus, Nokia, Samsung, Nestle, and others have now started making English their sole operative language worldwide for all communication, superseding all national languages. Under the new policies, all managers are required to use English for spoken and written communication. This covers even those internal meetings where everybody is from the same nationality.
