- Sometimes tasks or ideas pop up that might be valuable, but you're not ready to do anything about them. In my time management course, I call these perhaps list tasks. The perhaps list is a reservoir of ideas, opportunities, and actions you might do someday but don't yet belong on your schedule. Some examples from my perhaps list include revamping some of my older training material, changing some of my business branding and creating an association for my peers. To get the most from this list, first designate one and only one perhaps list. I prefer to keep mine in a digital notepad like Microsoft OneNote or Evernote. Others prefer a physical notepad or folder for handwritten notes. Next, create a recurring schedule to review that perhaps list. Once every three months is enough for most people.
