- [Instructor] I previously mentioned that one of the options you'll find by going into Loom's preferences is this option to disable the control menus from showing up on screen while you're recording. By having the on-screen controls, you have fewer things to distract your viewer's attention, and it gives your screen a cleaner look. But without controls on screen, you'll need to learn the keyboard shortcuts to continue your recording. Now you can find these shortcuts by going to support.loom.com in your web browser, and here do a search for keyboard shortcuts. And this first article on recording keyboard shortcuts is the one I want to look at. So here you can switch between the Mac and Windows desktop app commands. So for example, I can see that to start and stop the recording on my Mac, I press Command + Shift + L, or to pause and resume a recording, it's Option + Shift + P.
