- [Instructor] There are billions of pages on the internet and different search engines have different criteria and code algorithms for making sure you see the particular one you need. It's always good to remember that just because a search engine is more popular or widely-used does not mean it's necessarily better. Ultimately, the decision is up to you. So the whole point of this video is to remind you that there are lots of search engine options out there. If there's one that gives you the relevant results you need and has an interface that you like, use it. Google is arguably one of the most widely-used search engines and the one I'm going to use for most of this course. It is great because it's easy to find new, fresh content. (keys clicking) It also personalizes the results for us, based on what it knows about us. That personalization definitely comes at a cost. It is collecting knowledge about us to tailor those results…
