- [Narrator] When you've used Visio Professional or Visio Plan 2 to link a diagram to external data, you've created a dynamic link. This network diagram, for example, is linked to this data in Excel. Let's say we've upgraded the two file servers and want to be sure the diagram reflects the current configuration. In the data source change the relevant values. And then back in the diagram on the data tab, select refresh all, and then close when the refresh has completed. Our file server now reflects the updated data. You can also configure refresh to run automatically, right-click anywhere in the external data window and select configure refresh. In the configure refresh dialog box, select refresh every end minutes enter a number to indicate how often refresh should occur then select OK.
