- As a college freshman I was determined to have a summer internship. Being a camp counselor or lifeguard would be far more fun, but I had to make the most of my college years to launch my career. I got a part-time internship at a community center. Glamorous. No. Interesting work? For the most part. Paid. Yes, but not enough.
