- The ideas you get out of any idea generation session are going to be pretty raw. They need to be developed, refined, polished, and kicked into shape. So let's look at how to improve them. First, you should return to your brief and your criteria for success and check that your ideas are ticking all the boxes. If they're not, what can you do to make sure that they do? If they already are, how can you make them tick those boxes even stronger? The better you do this, the more chance you have of selling your solution. Now, to simplify your idea, all you have to do is follow these 17 steps. Only kidding, it's actually just one exercise, but you can see how intimidating and off-putting something is if it sounds complicated. And that's exactly why you need to make it brutally simple.
