- [Narrator] Google uses something called predictive text. When I type a query into a search box it comes up with some suggestions of things that I might want to be searching for. And also, when I make a search it can suggest some changes and sometimes it will make that change for me. I have a few options. I can put my exact search in quotes and it won't do that, but I can also turn that feature off. In Chrome, click the three dots on the top right-hand side of the screen and choose Settings. Click You and Google on the left-hand side. Select Sync and Google services. And toggle Autocomplete searches and URLs to off. This way, when you put in a Google search it's not going to fill in the rest of the sentence of what it thinks you might be searching for. I can close out of these settings, and it is important to note that this change isn't going to take effect until I restart the Chrome browser. So that takes care of…
