Join Lynda.com Staff Authors for an in-depth discussion in this video Transferring seats, part of How to Manage Your LyndaPro Account as an Administrator.
- [Voiceover] When a user has access to your organization's account, and you want to give that access to another member of your organization, that is called a transfer. You will start out with twice as many transfers available to you as you have seats purchased, and this will be your allotted transfers available for your subscription year. Transfers are redeemed after your initial upload of users. Your first upload has no effect on your transfers. When restricting access from one user to allow access to another user, one of your available transfers will be used.
Once the master admin or sub admins begin archiving users in order to give access to others, transfers will begin to deplete. When restricting access from one user to allow access to a brand new user, one of your available transfers will be used. Alternatively, you may want to reinstate a previously archived user. There are two things to remember when reinstating users in your account. First, a user who is already registered, which will be indicated by a date in the last login column, will immediately utilize a transfer when reinstated.
Second, someone who is not yet registered, which is indicated by the word Never in the last login column, can be reinstated but will not use a transfer until they register. So I have ten seats, and as I reinstate both of these archived users, the registered user will take a seat, and the unregistered user will not, leaving me with nine seats available. And if you want to reference your remaining transfers available, you can do so by clicking on the right arrow in the Activity Feed widget. And here you'll see your available remaining transfers.
