- Gen Z is truly one of the most DIY generations in history. We are intense do-it-yourself-ers. From the day we were born, we've had the ability to simply log on and learn at any time, whatever we need to learn. Now how will this play out in the work force? First and foremost, we will see this play out heavily with training and development. Now the model for training and development has always been based on just-in-case. A new employee walks in the door and you stick them in one room for maybe one, two, even three weeks and you teach them everything they need to know just in case it comes up in their job. Now, Gen Z-ers are entering the doors of your companies and we're saying that model is outdated. The new model is all about just-in-time learning.
