- [Instructor] The two most common needs while working in a Visio diagram are to zoom in and out, and to move around the drawing page, so it's helpful to know the best shortcuts. Hold the Control key and roll the mouse wheel to zoom in or out. Note that Visio zooms at the location of the mouse pointer. If you don't have a mouse wheel, hold down both the Control and Shift keys, and click the left mouse button to zoom in, and the right mouse button to zoom out. Once again, Visio zooms at the location of the pointer. For a keyboard only shortcut, hold the Alt key and press F6 to zoom in, and use Shift + Alt + F6 to zoom out. To pan the diagram up and down, roll the mouse wheel. Hold the Shift key and roll the mouse wheel to pan left and right. And finally, whenever you want to see the entire drawing page, hold Control + Shift, and press W, that's W as in whole page.
