Three factors to consider in your decision-making approach

- In the last video, we used this image to talk about the basic trade-offs we must consider when selecting our decision-making approach. If you need a refresh, I recommend you go back and watch Recognize Decision-Making Trade-Offs. But that basic conversation didn't talk at all about the slope of the line, right? In other words, how much time is required to get more agreement or commitment? There are three factors that can shift the slope of the line to perhaps better help you dial in which approach might fit your situation and decision. Here they are. First, importance. How important is this decision? A decision with more weight and gravity, remember type one versus type two decisions, will flatten the line. Meaning more time might be needed to get a similar level of agreement. Complexity. How complex is the decision? How many moving parts are there, and how much more information might be needed?
