- Okay, so you've made a prototype, and now it's time to put it to work. User testing is at the core of prototyping and only works when you test with real users. That means finding actual people who have the actual problem your product is trying to solve and getting their hands on your prototype. Once it's in their hands, your team should test four main things. But the most important and the most common are the questions of value and usability. We'll start with value. It's pretty straightforward. Essentially, you want to make sure that your product serves an actual purpose. Does it solve the user's problem? Does it help them achieve a desire? Now, I have to mention that you must provide more value than the user's existing options. Will they use your product instead of other products, or instead of using nothing at all?
