Team decision basics

- Decisions made as a team are just generally better. While you don't always have enough time to go through the process, when you can pull it off, you'll reap the rewards of a more collaborative and cohesive team spirit. An understanding of the benefits, potential downsides, and a few ideas of when group decisions make sense will help you know when to rely on group decision making to lead your team and your organization forward. Let's first look at some of the benefits. Research shows that group decision making reduces bias, increases the amount of data available, increases feasible alternatives to choose from, improves critical assessment of options, increases the quality of decisions, increases cooperation, commitment to the decision, and so much more.
