- My daughter is just nine, I'm only a mother for nine years, so I'm learning every day. I used to feel really guilty, because a lot of my work, while it's domestic, also takes me on the road, to film "Top Chef", and other stuff. And I used to feel guilty about that, that I wasn't a traditional mom, who could always pick her up from school. Or even a traditional full-time working mom, who could be there to put her to bed every night. But I've lost that feeling, because now, I realize that it's more important to give her the example of her mother, going after what she thinks is important in life. Whether that's her profession, whether that's philanthropy, whether that is even taking the time to get her hair done. Because she wants to look nice. I think all of those things are important. I want my daughter to see that, yes you should help everybody, but you should also help yourself, first, so that you can be useful, to…
