- I have another example. So you'll have people that work for you that will be mortified when someone asks them to do something, and here's an example. I had a client, Monaco Grand Prix Charter, repeat client. He walked on the boat. He handed my first officers his shoes, and he said, hey, mate, will you clean my shoes? I looked at my first officer's face, and I saw total, like, are you kidding me? So I immediately grabbed the shoes from the client and said, no problem, Tony. I walked downstairs. I made the first officer follow me, and I cleaned his shoes, and I told him, we are in the service business. We do anything they ask within reason, and I am not above cleaning the client's shoes. What I proved to that first officer was just because he asked me to clean his shoes doesn't mean that I'm lower than him or he's better than me.
