- I recently went on a sort of outdoor wilderness adventure. To set the stage, this is a place high in the mountains of Colorado, where there's still snow on the ground in the end of June. It was beautiful, don't get me wrong, but let's just say it was rugged. Like, no cellphone service or actual plumbing. People are primarily there to do biological research, and they basically live there all summer. Most of the people who work there are rugged outdoorsmen who wear waders and shop at outdoorsy stores and have big bushy lumberjack beards. While I'm there, I'm at a party, yes they have parties, and someone walks up to me and asks me the most surprising question. How can people in the station increase diversity and inclusion? The scientists at the station decided they want to attract more diverse researchers to bring in new perspectives. So regardless of your industry, sector or country, the answer is yes. Diversity…
