- [Instructor] Earlier we talked about the seven cultural dimensions. Now, let's look at what taking action looks like in a few situations. Say that you come from a relatively monochronic, direct, and low power distance culture. You're assigned to reach out and secure a new vendor in a new culture that, from what you have observed, is quite different than yours. What would be the best way to approach this assignment? First, find out the timeline and try to set realistic expectations, knowing that it may take longer to make connections. Research your network to find any local connections. Gather informations on different vendors and their business relationships before you make any initial contact.
