Survey tools for project management
- I find the most valuable meetings are the ones where we talk about the issues that have come up and how we're going to resolve them. And the least valuable meetings are the ones where we go around the room and ask, hey what did you get done this week? In order to make the best use of everyone's time, I'd encourage you to come up with a system for getting inputs from your team before your meetings. For example, let's say we have an update meeting every Wednesday. On Monday morning, I'd send out a survey form and ask the team to complete it before Tuesday afternoon. Or, I'd have a short call or a face-to-face chat with folks to get their inputs ahead of time. Then, I'd consolidate their inputs into a summary or a scorecard and share that with the whole team.
