- [Instructor] Another tip a very powerful one in this area of growth is to remember, to surround yourself with friends that reinforce the growth mindset. This is actually a really, really hard one. It's hard to realize that some friends can actually lead you to being critical of others. They, through their own fixed mindset can invite you back into an attitude of jealousy or feeling that you can't grow, that you just are one way and that it's not a journey of growth where we're all like on different paths. So make sure you're not around somebody who tears others down to try and make themselves feel better. Because remember, if you're in a fixed mindset, if you're less successful monetarily than somebody else, you might define that as they're more valuable than I am and the only way to survive is to tear them down, to make yourself think that you're more valuable.
