Summary of DA concepts
- Disciplined agile or DA has been around for a few years, but it's fairly new or unknown to lots of people in project management. As we've learned, disciplined agile or DA is not a framework. It's a toolkit. It focuses on the decisions you need to make, which options are available to you, and the related trade-offs. Any team can use DA to identify their intentions and actions they need to address to make context-specific choices that are best for them. Keep in mind that DA considers four views. There is mindset, people, flow, and practices. With mindset, we discovered that there are three views that teams follow when implementing disciplined agile. Principles provide the philosophical foundation for business agility and are based on lean and flow concepts. Promises are the agreements team members make with each other and stakeholders, that help them collaborate effectively and professionally. And guidelines help…
