- Based on the information you have gathered now that you have assessed the situation, let's move to the next step of strategizing based on your strengths and weaknesses in the situation. I have included a handout file for this chapter with some sample questions you can ask yourself while weighing your strengths and weaknesses in the specific situation. One word of caution, though. People are people. No matter how many dimensions of cultures we talk about, individual temperament and personality rules in every situation. You may know a country to type in a certain way and then you meet a person from there who doesn't fit those cultural norms at all. The same may exist with company culture. It may be different than the culture of the country it operates in. For example, I have met a young group of entrepreneurs in a high-context, traditionally bureaucratic culture who behave and operate in a totally Westernized way. Maybe…
