- Many people, especially creative types like entrepreneurs and artists, have more ideas than they can possibly pursue. This creates a false sense of urgency. It's this feeling that they're buried under an avalanche of ideas that they'll never be able to complete. And that's true, none of us can complete every idea. We must slow down and be realistic about our capabilities, while at the same time, capturing these ideas and encouraging creativity. To promote creative thinking, without being overwhelmed by it, start by creating a perhaps list. Always carry this list with you. This can be as simple as a paper notepad or something more digital, like Evernote or OneNote on your phone. When an idea comes to mind, gather it as quickly as you can.
