Sprint planning

- Sprint planning is a critical meeting where the team members make a commitment to what they will accomplish in the sprint. The items in the sprint plan are what's called the sprint backlog. Since the outcome of sprint planning meeting is the sprint backlog and a commitment, you'll want to allow enough time for all the discussions that need to happen. As a general rule, when I schedule sprint planning, I estimate about an hour for each week of the sprint. For example, with two-week sprints, I'll spend about two hours in sprint planning. In my sprint planning meetings, there are items I cover. First, we talk about any new items in the backlog. Second, we read and discuss each backlog item in detail that's planned for this sprint. Next, we write tasks for each story, and finally, we plan the coming sprint plus two more. Your product owner will have the backlog ready so that the items the team can choose for the sprint…
