- Social media is going to impact your life. Social media on balance is a great thing, because it's fast and it's free and ubiquitous, and for every untruth, for every fake story, for every Russian bot, there's probably a thousand people who are getting great value, and to use it in business for Kickstarter, to use it to foster more women running for office, or to bring corruption to light, you know, all this kind of stuff. On balance, it's a great thing, it's much better than a few people, or a few companies, controlling information. It's ripe for abuse, but any great medium is ripe for abuse, and I would suppose, you know, if we look back in history, at some point, there were monks copying the bible by hand, and then, oh my god, Gutenberg invents the printing press.
