- [Instructor] Let's look at how you do some basic project management activities with Smartsheet. I'm going to start by creating a new sheet for a project. So on the home page, I'm going to go over to the top right and click create, and then choose project. I'm going to name my sheet update website and then click okay. Then when I click the link for that, it opens up the sheet in my view, and I can see that it has some basic fields already included. but I'm going to create a column called allocation percent because I want to use this project to manage my resources. I'm going to right click the column heading and insert a column to the left. I'm going to name the column allocation percent. It's going to be a text number field so I'm going to go ahead and click okay. Now that I've done that I can enable this sheet for resource management.
